Vice Chairperson
Current Rotation - Male Candidate, Term 6/26-6/28 Rolling into Chair in 2028 through 2030
Requirements for the position: A married or single person.
The Vice Chairman must also demonstrate committee leadership and organizational skills. This role will alternate between a woman and a man, and will be the opposite of the Chairman, to ensure that the leadership of the Secretariat is represented on each of the weekends.
Responsibilities
The Vice Chairperson is responsible for assisting the chairman in the guidance and direction of Central Florida Tres Dias.
a. In the absence of the Chairman, the Vice Chairman is to assume the responsibilities of the Chairman's position as directed by the Chairman in a planned absence. The events could be as follows;
1. A planned Secretariat meeting
2. A scheduled Secuela
3. As a representative of CFTD for the international assembly
4. At the weekend Send-overs
5. At weekend Closings
6. At special assemblies
b. In the involuntary absence of the Chairman, the Vice Chairman is to assume the responsibilities of the Chairman position, as outlined above, on a temporary basis. In the event the Chairman is unable to resume his responsibilities in a timely manner, the Secretariat can nominate and vote in the Vice Chairman, assuming the Vice Chairman is otherwise qualified to serve in the role of Chairman to finish out the remaining term of the Chairman, or call a special session to elect a new Chairman for the remaining term.
c. Functions as the lay representative of Tres Dias in meetings with clergy or laymen from participating and potentially active churches, other movements, and the Tres Dias International Organization, in the absence of the Chairman.
d. Assists the Chairman and participates in developing short- and long-range plans for expansion and growth of the community.
e. Assists the Chairman and participates in the development, reviewing, and enforcing the Constitution and By-Laws and the Central Florida Tres Dias, Inc. Policies and Procedures.
f. Handles reservations for Weekend sites as selected by the Secretariat, as delegated by the Chairman.
g. Assists in other items and needs of the community as directed by the Chairman and the Secretariat.
